About Us

The second fastest game in the world - Handball - is the latest sport addition at IISc. The club was formed in December 2019. The aim of the club is to promote Handball among the students and members of IISc, organize matches from time-to-time within IISc, as well as invite outside teams to compete.
We invite anyone interested in learning and playing handball to join the IISc Handball club. Kindly register using the link below:

There is no requirement of prior experience or equipment and accessories. IISc Hand Ball Club provides training to the beginners and engages in playing matches from time to time.

Activities

• Train newcomers to know and understand the sport.
• Regular practice of handball to engage and hone playing skills.
• Regular Practice Matches organized to apply the skills.
• Formation of IISc Handball Team by having open trails time to time.
• Aim to participate in Inter university and open tournaments organized by various educational institutions, handball clubs supported by respective District Handball Clubs, and the Karnataka State Handball Association.
• Organize 'Inter Department Handball Tournament' yearly.
• Normal running shoes can be used.
• Knee pads and arm pads are recommended

Practice Sessions: Monday to Thursday Morning 7 - 8 / Evening 5.30 - 6.30
Practice Matches: Friday - Evening 5.30 - 6.30
