About Us

The club focuses on improving general fitness, building team spirit, and understanding the field hockey sport. The club provides the basic equipment and accessories to play the game, and basic drills and rules of the game are taught to the members. We try to develop the sportsman spirit among the members that is required both on and off the field. The objective of the club is to establish field hockey in the institute and represent the Institute at various competitive levels.

Activities

• Annual participation at inter-university tournaments organized at St. John’s Medical College, St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, and Karnataka State Hockey Association.
• Annual organization of inter-university tournament `IISc Hockey Invitational tournament'.
• Annual organization of domestic tournaments such as `IISc Hockey Beginner's tournament', `IISc Hockey Premier League' , and `IISc SPECTRUM Hockey tournament'.
• Provision of hockey sticks, shin guards, hockey balls, goalkeeping kit for club members.
• Daily practice and drills for club members.

Timings

Practice Sessions : 05:30 PM - 07:00 PM.
